I mounted this unit in a fairly well sealed bench on my deck. the controls are pretty straight forward but do not unplug from power because there doesn't seems to be any memory backup. The sound quality to about what you'd expect, fine for us but the receiver is very weak. I have not tried a longer fm antenna but I will.
As mentioned in previous reviews, it does come with all the cables you will need for the available functionality. Most importantly there doesn't appear to be any competition for this item in any price range.

Nice outdoor amplifier.
Let's me listen to radio, my MP3's or CD's while I'm out floating in the pool (Hope the RIAA doesn't come after me thinking it's a public performance!)
Unit works as expected which is exactly what I wanted.

Got this in my yard & connected 2 pairs of bose speakers. When 2 pairs are connected, I could barely power up the unit. I had to disconnect 1 pair of speakers first, then turn on the unit, then connect them back. After that, it works fine. I don't think it's defective, probably just not enough power.

I bought this item to power 4 speakers on my deck. This amp is underpowered to drive 4 speakers. It's the only one I found setup with 4 speaker outputs. When I hooked everything up the amp would not turn on. I had to turn the amp on first, then hook the speakers. This means I had to leave it on constantly. I returned the product and went with a Pyle mini amp.

I would have kept it, but the AM tuner doesn't tune US frequencies, only international ones, so I couldn't get the local sports stations. so I returned it. If it hadn't been for that I would have kept it.
